Two teams consisting of a choreographer and two dancers: Each of the two develops a 20-minute choreography to the same music played by the same quartet, but working completely independently of each other. The stakes are high, as the same rules apply to all:

  • The teams have five days to create their performance.
  • The music for both choreographies is the same.
  • The teams receive the music only five days before the start of rehearsals.
  • The musicians are part of the scene.
  • No props and costumes are provided – the performers must find their own.

The two choreographies will be performed one after the other, highlighting the choreographers’ different approaches and creative processes.

In a panel discussion, the audience will gain an insight into the motives behind the two choreographers’ artistic decisions.

Choreographers: Roberta Pisu, Giovanni Insaudo
Dancers: Giovanni La Rocca, Rebecca Bonacci
Music: Arcis Saxophon Quartett
