American-Lebanese underground renegade musician and ethnomusicologist Alan Bishop (known for his bands »Sun City Girls« and »Sublime Frequencies«) arrived in Cairo shortly after the 2011 riots. There, he and three young musicians set about to translate his old songs into Arabic. Under Bishop’s mentorship, this extraordinary collaboration developed into a formation named »The Invisible Hands«. This film was made between the two decisive elections that shaped the period after the »Arab Spring«.
