The piano virtuoso Svein Amund Skara plays masterpieces of the piano repertoire and takes on some of the most challenging works any pianist can offer: Franz Liszt’s fiendishly difficult transcription of Beethoven’s Symphony No 5 »Schicksalssinfonie«, Frédéric Chopin’s Scherzi No 1–4, »Andante spianato« and »Grande Polonaise Brilliante« as well as Liszt’s »Études d'exécution transcendante« (No 1–12).  To commemorate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, Svein Amund Skara will perform three concerts of piano sonatas, among them »Appassionata«, »Waldstein-Sonate«, »Pathétique«, »Pastorale«, »Les Adieux«, »Der Sturm« (»The Tempest«) and »Moonlight Sonata«.
