Children & Youth – Kids & Teens
Special guest: Claus Reichstaller (trumpet)
Ten years ago, jazz saxophonist and singer Stephanie Lottermoser released her first album. In the meantime, she has earned her place in the German jazz scene and, combining vocals and saxophone in a mixture of jazz, soul and groove, has created her very own sound. She is already working on her fifth solo album.
Many important milestones of her career happened here in Munich, prompting her to also celebrate this jubilee here together with some of her long-time musical partners: her own quintet, the Bavarian Youth Jazz Orchestra (Landes-Jugendjazzorchester Bayern) under the direction of Harald Rüschenbaum and the trumpeter and director of the Jazz Institute of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, Claus Reichstaller. The audience can expect an evening of groove, in both band and big band line-up, with pieces from Stephanie Lottermoser’s albums as well as from the current repertoire of the Bavarian Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Because her work with young people and their access to music and music lessons is very important to Stephanie Lottermoser, there will be a cooperation and workshop with association Dein München e. V. in the run-up to the concert, which supports disadvantaged children and young people in Munich. This partnership was initiated by beCAUSE-wir.tun.was., the Munich agency for sustainable projects on issues such as poverty reduction, education, environment and climate change.
