Masterminded by Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths, the band collective Archive has existed for an extraordinary 25 years. The long and successful career of the London project boasts twelve studio albums, each one a masterpiece and in sum a testament to formidable musical development. Even if their typical sound is immediately recognisable, no two of their albums are the alike.
This is demonstrated in the compilation album with the appropriate title »25« that Archive released for their anniversary in May. There are forty-three tracks on six vinyl albums, spanning all their creative periods, including seven new compositions and the advance release single »Remains Of Nothing«, a collaboration with the Band Of Skulls. They also released a ten-inch EP and a seven-inch single as well as a 160-page book full of interviews with current and former members as well as exclusive photos from the private albums of band members: a full tour through the Archive universe and a comprehensive package for all fans.
Since founding the band in 1994, Keeler and Griffiths have worked together with mutual respect and a will to drive the respective other to their highest potential, challenging each other to stay off the beaten path, constantly searching for the new and exciting. This is their recipe for success. They have set the standard especially high with their live shows, employing big and elaborately produced visuals, and have even made their own film, set before the concert, to accompany the album »Axiom«. And naturally they again mark their anniversary with an extended European tour, while in autumn they play eight concerts in Germany alone. Archive have chosen a very special venue for themselves and their fans, and anyone who has seen the band live will have a fairly good idea of what acoustic and visual opulence awaits.
Please be advised of the following: according to child protection laws valid in Munich, children under the age of six are not admitted to the concert. Children from 6 to 13 are admitted only under supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
