The Sound of the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra & Choir
Conductor: Christian Schumann

Music: George Bruns (score), Terry Gilkyson, Richard M. & Robert B. Sherman (songs)

In German language

Inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s collection of stories and poems by the same name, Disney’s animated classic »The Jungle Book« enjoys cult status here in Germany. Its delightful characters and popular songs like the Oscar-nominated »The Bare Necessities« tops the list of most beloved Disney songs. As the last film that Walt Disney personally worked on, his masterful powers of storytelling reached their zenith more than 50 years ago.

A symphony orchestra and chorus are bringing the jungle into the concert hall: as the story of the foundling Mowgli and his friends unfolds on the big screen, swing, jazz and sweeping symphonic melodies are played live on stage. King Louis invites you to dance, elephants thunder through the jungle, and by and by, Mowgli’s protectors, Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther teach him just what real love and friendship are all about.
