DOK.fest and DOK.education München –
37th International Documentary Film Festival Munich

Celebrate the documentary in all its different forms!

The 37th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival Munich brings you the best of both worlds. In its first incarnation as a dual-format festival, it will present 124 international documentaries from 55 countries on the cinema screen and at home on the digital screen. The programme includes film discoveries from our competitions and glimpses of everyday life in Spain right now in the guest country series DOK.guest Spain. The homage showcases the work of award winning Swiss filmmaker Heidi Specogna. The range of topics looks at the world of work from fresh angles.

DOK.forum is where the industry comes together, on site and online, on the perspective of storytelling in documentary form. DOK.education offers its own dual programme for children, young people and schools, with media education workshops on short documentary films.

The City Library in the Motorama will partner with DOK.education for the »Triff dein Vorurteil« (»Meet your prejudice«) exhibition during the festival, including the exhibition launch and panel discussion.

In view of the uncertainty about the ongoing pandemic situation, events are subject to change at short notice. The festival programme and advance ticket sales will also be available from the end of April 2022 at dokfest-muenchen.de.
