Conducted by Robin Ticciati

»It’s all in the wrist«

For almost 30 years now, Fazil Say has been moving audiences and critics alike in a way that is rarely seen in today’s increasingly materialistic and organised world of classical music. Fazil Say: »Music should always come out as an improvisation … That is why there is always a search for freshness in the performance.«

To our great regret, Sir Roger Norrington has retired from the conducting podium for reasons of age. We are therefore very happy to have found a wonderful successor maestro in the young conducting star Robin Ticciati.

Robin Ticciati is Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) as well as Music Director of Glyndebourne Festival Opera. His mentors and patrons include Sir Colin Davis and Sir Simon Rattle.

The young Briton with Italian roots was appointed »Sir Colin Davis Fellow of Conducting« by the Royal Academy of Music in London and was made an »Officer« of the Order of the British Empire in 2019 as part of the Queen's birthday celebrations for his musical services.

New date for the event originally scheduled for 27 February 2021. Tickets remain valid.
