Not yet in a festive mood on 24 December? The »Festive Music on Christmas Eve« will change that! This Christmas concert with works by well-known composers and classical Christmas carols to sing along to has been drawing both young and old to the seasonally decorated Philharmonic Hall for more than 20 years.
A highlight of the programme is the performance of mezzo-soprano Okka von der Damerau with the »Agnus Dei« from Gioacchino Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle. The young, highly acclaimed Arcis Saxophon Quartett and a renowned Munich chamber choir will get you into a festive mood. Leading you through the evening will be TV presenter Anouschka Horn. For the first time this year, the conductor and organist Hansjörg Albrecht will be in charge of the musical direction.
