International juries have awarded him for it, his fans love him for it, the press confirms it again and again: Henri Bonamy is a world-class pianist who even took part in France Télévision’s recording of Chopin’s complete works in the famous Salle Pleyel. His repertoire includes all stylistic epochs of German, French and Russian piano literature. With »The French Touch Part II«, the Munich-based French pianist continues his multifarious journey through the world of French piano music in 2020, this time with works by César Franck, Gabriel Fauré and Claude Debussy.

Already in 2019, he thrilled and captivated audiences with »The French Touch« wherever he performed. »It is important to me and gives me great pleasure to connect with the audience with these moving timbres,« says Henri Bonamy. »And when I play, I feel that the audience reacts positively and with curiosity to this musical approach.« Bonamy has been active as a pianist and conductor – sometimes even both at the same time – in Europe and Asia for many years. Conducting an orchestra from the piano has a special attraction for him, as he explains: »I am a pianist who thinks like a conductor, and a conductor who summarises the musical content like a pianist.« A highlight in 2019 was his performance in the Romanian capital Bucharest with violin virtuoso Julia Fischer at the International George Enescu Festival, the largest classical music festival in eastern Europe. Their performance was highly acclaimed by the press.

On his solo albums, Bonamy plays works by Debussy, Mussorgsky, Schubert and Brahms. www.henribonamy.com
