Concert with Meet the Artist: Together with students from the Jazz Institute of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, the renowned jazz musicians and lecturers Andreas Kissenbeck and Michael Keul will take you on a trip into the world of jazz.

What does Charlie Parker have to do with Claude Monet? What’s the link between Louis Armstrong and Issak Soreau, or Michael Brecker and Pablo Picasso? A closer look reveals surprising similarities between the concepts behind jazz and painting. On stage, selected paintings and their characteristic painting techniques are shown, in each case accompanied by their musical counterpart. The composition and improvisation techniques become part of the musical performance.
