A fantastic musical journey for children
With melodies by Händel, Debussy, Vivaldi, Rossini and Charpentier.
Recommended for children aged 5 to 12 years
Duration approx. 50 minutes
With melodies by Handel, Debussy, Vivaldi, Rossini and Charpentier as well as folk tunes – interwoven with entertaining stories about the various countries’ languages and cultures. Performed by the chamber ensemble of the Freies Landestheater Bayern. Instrumentation: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, cello, piano.
The journey continues with an adventurous balloon ride, in which Timmy and his friend Philipp travel across Europe, where they encounter many people and their music, in England, France and Italy. Although we come across different languages along the way, there is one that people everywhere seem to understand: the language of music.
