Seven days of stories: The Latin American Film Days (LAFITA) once again bring gems of transatlantic film to Munich: seven feature films, two documentaries and two blocks of short films can be seen at the Instituto Cervantes, the Gasteig and the Werkstattkino from 26 November to 2 December. The evening in the Carl Amery Hall is dedicated to Argentina.
6:00 PM: Short Films – Narrargentina
with micro-stories from all over Argentina. »Dream« (1933, 2 min.) and »Así Nació El Obelisco« (1936, 10 min.) by the Argentinian photo pioneer Horacio Coppola
8:30 PM: Konstruktion Argentina
Argentina/Germany 2018, 65 min., original language with English subtitles, directed by Fernando Molnar. In December 1968, half a year before his death, Walter Gropius visited Argentina. Director Fernando Molnar now goes in search of the traces the Bauhaus founder left there. The film shows the influences of German architecture in Argentina, alongside Spanish and French architectural forms.
