Eating only spinach so as to fit into the tight corset; having a stick tied to your back to make sure you walk straight; practising your curtseys and holding your cutlery the proper way: For Princess Amalie, all this is part of daily life. When, on top of everything, she is supposed to marry a prince she doesn’t even know and live with him in a far away land, Amalie’s brother Wiggerl forges an adventurous plan to save the princess – complete with clattering knight’s armour and a crazy racing pig. Whether that tale will end with »And they lived happily ever after«?

Line-up: recorders, viola da gamba, spinet, portative organ, bagpipe, storyteller, presenter
Programme: works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Jacob van Eyck, Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Henry Mancini and others
Concept: Katharina Ritter, Anastasia Reiber, Uta Sailer
