It all started with the pure desire to make music, and the appeal of bringing together very different roots and musical biographies and experiencing what they can create together.
With their songs, Werner Schmidbauer, Pippo Pollina and Martin Kälberer present the perspective of those who, through their artistic activities, have experienced numerous encounters with people from all over the world and have been greatly enriched by them. Art and music can convey possibilities, dreams and images that help us hold on to the belief in living together in peace, with respect and a curiosity for life and for others. The mutual celebration of the South as a place of longing is a metaphor for this.
With songs both new and old, with extraordinary stories, with the voices and instruments of their distinctive protagonists, the trio aims to underline that music, like life, does not so much separate as connect us: from Palermo to Berlin, from Vienna to Paris.
