Conducted by Nicolas Rauss
The Bavarian State Youth Orchestra has been sponsored by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO) since 2004 and together they have already realised many joint projects. BRSO principal conductor Mariss Jansons, for example, has conducted the young musicians on several occasions as part of the symphony orchestra’s education programme. Daniel Harding took over another partnership project in June 2015 with Berlioz’ Symphonie fantastique. In keeping with tradition, the BLJO – Bavaria’s most successful youth orchestra and recipient of funding by the State of Bavaria to promote young talent – will conclude its winter season with five concerts.
From 27 December 2019, the musicians will come together for in-depth rehearsals of the demanding programme in instrument sections with the teachers’ help. At the same time, full orchestra rehearsals under the baton of Nicolas Rauss will take place.
The BLJO is supported by Landesausschuss Bayern »Jugend musiziert« e. V. and financed by the Bavarian Ministry of Sciences and the Arts.
