The Gasteig, Europe’s largest cultural centre, will be refurbished from 2022. During this time, starting in autumn 2021, all cultural and educational functions will move to temporary premises in Sendling. Gasteig Sendling comprises a renovated, listed hall, a new concert hall and several modular buildings. The venue, with four new auditoriums of various sizes, each with different equipment and their own particular ambience, as well as additional rooms and spaces can accommodate up to 2500 people.
The interplay of public and private initiatives will make for a varied, manifold range of events on the new site. Major concerts with international performers and cultural events with a regional touch will rub shoulders with a plethora of smaller events. Film screenings, exhibitions, courses, lectures, receptions, conferences and more – whatever the occasion, Gasteig Sendling has a fitting space and setting.
State-of-the-art event technology and highly qualified personnel complete our range of services, while leading Munich caterers August GmbH provide a range of catering options in all spaces.
Located in Sendling, right next to the Flaucher recreational area on the banks of the Isar and with numerous other attractions nearby, the interim Gasteig is also easy to reach by public transport.
