Culture & Cuisine: GAiA at Gasteig HP8
Gasteig HP8 invites visitors to linger and enjoy. The catering at HP8 goes by the name of GAiA and includes the GAiA Deli & News reading café, the GAiA Bar in Hall E and the GAiA Restaurant in Building K with its outdoor terrace.
GAiA Restaurant: airy, bright and modern
On the ground floor of House K, you can indulge yourself throughout the day. The restaurant is open daily from 11.30 AM to 11 PM, the terrace currently closes at 10 PM. To reserve a table, write an email. The GAiA has vegan, Mediterranean and regional meals on the menu every day. Besides pizza, pasta and risotto, you’ll find fish, meat dishes and more: salted herring, carrot tartare, home-made curried sausage or stewed tomato and quinoa soup – plus of course starters, salads and desserts. GAiA Deli & News
The Deli & News reading café on the ground floor of Hall E will serve snacks for visitors throughout the day:
- In the mornings, freshly baked bread and coffee specialities are on offer.
- Breakfast is healthy and light, sensual and fast, regional and sustainable.
- At lunchtime, enjoy a quick meal, also to take out in the tried and tested VYTAL reusable packaging system.
- In the afternoon, choose from a selection of home-made cakes and sweet or savoury snacks.
Courtesy of the Munich City Library, the day’s newspapers and current magazine issues are available to read in the News & Deli, complementing the Library’s online services, which can be accessed on two public screens.

Opening hours and directions
Monday to Friday 9.30 AM to 6 PM; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 11 AM to 5 PM; during events in the Isarphilharmonie until 11 PM. Please note: the GAiA Deli will remain closed during the summer school holidays from August 1st till September 12th.

GAiA events hospitality
The GAiA bar on the ground floor of Hall E opens 90 minutes before the start of each event, so that visitors can enjoy delicious food and drink over a chat in the unique ambience of the listed industrial hall both before and after the event. For large audiences, the small bar on the mezzanine of Hall E is also open during intermissions. You can make reservations for the intermission on site before the concert.

Florian August, the managing director of August GmbH, already runs the »Mona« in the Hilton on Rosenheimer Straße and the »Babà« in the Glass Hall of the Gasteig in Haidhausen.
