Mini-München 2020: Free Holiday Activities for Children in the Gasteig
To ensure that kids and youngsters won’t have to make do without some of their favourite holiday activities this eventful year, a clever health and distancing concept has been developed. This allows many fun activities to take place safely throughout the city. The Munich City Library in the Gasteig will host several kids’ activities.
Free programme Mondays to Fridays from 10 AM to 5 PM:
Publishing House in the City Library’s forum, level 1.1
In the writing workshop, kids can write their own texts and in the printing workshop they can produce their own books and magazines.
Animated Film Studio in the City Library’s forum, Level 1.1
Using tablets, children and youngsters can translate their own storylines into animated films.
KinderKino – Kids’ Cinema in the Carl Amery Hall in the Gasteig
In the cinema, kids can view their own film productions. There will also be several screenings of films for children.
Reading Lounge in the City Library’s forum, Level 1.1
Here, kids can set up their own library, chill and spend time together.
All Mini-München events are free, but due to the health regulations, participants must register at the door. The number of places each day is limited. If a child feels ill, she or he cannot participate. All participants must have a mouth and nose covering with them. This must always be worn in all indoor areas and also in outdoor areas if the minimum distance specified for outdoor activities cannot be maintained at times.
