About the Ballet Academy

For more than 50 years, the Ballet Academy of the HMTM has stood for comprehensive and internationally recognised dance training from young students to Bachelor's degree holders. Internationally experienced teachers pass on their knowledge professionally to the young dancers of the various grades. Classical ballet training based on the Waganowa method is complemented by subjects such as contemporary dance, national dance, dance history and dance medicine. A pedagogically well thought-out, holistic training, which perceives the young dancers as personalities, is at the centre of the training. Dance training at the Ballet Academy HMTM can be started from the age of eight and offers a sound and excellent dance education. The ultimate goal of the Bachelor's programme is professional stage dance.
