Starting Monday, 2. November, stricter Covid-19 containment rules apply nationwide until and including 30 November. No events can take place in the Gasteig during this period. The Munich City Library will remain open and most of the courses offered by the Münchner Volkshochschule adult education centre will continue to take place. At the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, the practice rooms remain available to students for use under strict conditions.

Starting Monday, 2. November, more stringent measures to contain the corona pandemic will apply until and including 30 November 2020. According to the new Eighth Bavarian Infection Control Ordinance, all events that serve entertainment and recreational purposes are prohibited throughout November 2020. This also affects the Gasteig, where no events can take place during this period. The respective event organisers are given in brackets at the end of each event description on the Gasteig website.

Due to recent government decisions, the Munich Philharmonic must also cancel all scheduled concerts in November. Tickets already purchased will be refunded. München Ticket will contact all ticket purchasers regarding method of repayment. Advance ticket sales for Munich Philharmonic concerts in December have been suspended for the time being. The Munich City Library in the Gasteig will continue to open during its regular hours subject to certain conditions: Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Loaned items can be returned daily from 7 AM to 11 PM. The Münchner Volkshochschule adult education centre can also remain open for the time being, with a few exceptions. Due to official regulations, the following attendance courses and events cannot take place up to and including 30 November: »Gesundheit aktiv« (health-related courses and classes, such as fitness, movement and relaxation), dance courses as well as guided tours and excursions.
