Lockdown and Current Opening Hours
With some changes, the Eleventh Bavarian Infection Protection Regulation now applies up to and including March 7th, 2021. All events that serve the purpose of entertainment and recreational activities are prohibited for the time being. Unfortunately, no public events can take place in the Gasteig until further notice. You can find free streaming offers from the Gasteig here.
You can find information about cancelled and postponed events at gasteig.de/news. If you have any questions about your tickets, please contact the organisers or the advance booking office where you purchased your ticket(s). The respective event organisers are given in brackets at the end of each event description on the Gasteig website.
All concerts already announced by the Munich Philharmonic for this period also had to be cancelled. Several concerts will be streamed. For further information, visit mphil.de.
The Munich City Library in the Gasteig will remain closed and offers a »Click & Collect« service (more information in German – external link). Media can be returned via the return machines. For up-to-date information on available services and digital events, visit the Munich City Library’s website (in German language).
The Münchner Volkshochschule (Munich Adult Education Center) has still completely interrupted its course and event operations in attendance. Classes at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich (HMTM) will continue under strict hygiene regulations. However, until further notice, no public events will take place at the HMTM during this period. For up-to-date information and regulations, visit www.hmtm.de (in German language).
