Run-Up to Topping Out: Gasteig Sendling Time-Lapse Video

At the Gasteig Sendling construction site, things are going to schedule despite the difficult corona situation! This time-lapse video shows construction progress from May to the topping-out ceremony in October 2020.

The Philharmonic Hall is rapidly taking shape: The building’s shell has already been completed, culmination in the topping-out ceremony. Pictures and speeches from the celebration with Lord Mayor Dieter Reiter and Mayor Katrin Habenschaden can be found here. Further modular buildings, which will provide space for the Munich Philharmonic, the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and the Münchner Volkshochschule community college, are yet to be built. On the site in Hans-Preißinger-Straße, work is continuing uninterrupted so that the Gasteig can continue its varied cultural activities in is interim quarter in the Sendling district while its home premises are being refurbished from the end of 2021.
