How to get there

The Gasteig HP8 in Sendling

Near the Isar river are the temporary premises of the at Hans-Preißinger-Straße 8 on the corner of Brudermühlstraße and Schäftlarnstraße.

The replacement bus service from Goetheplatz in the direction of Brudermühlstraße has ended, the U3 is running again.

If you come by car, there’s a car park at the flower wholesale market (Blumengroßmarkt) next door near Mittlerer Ring, with a shuttle service directly to the Gasteig HP8. Even better: You can cycle along the Isar river and park your bike in one of the 300 bicycle parking spaces directly at Gasteig HP8.

By underground and bus
Line U3
»Brudermühlstraße« station
From there, it is a 5-minute walk in the direction of the Isar river or take bus No. 54 or X30 to »Schäftlarnstraße/Gasteig HP8«.

Line U6 (evenings and weekends)
»Implerstraße« station
From there, take the car park shuttle bus 97 to the »Schäftlarnstraße / Gasteig HP8« stop. It starts at Oberländerstraße at exit C and D. The bus runs during the week from 6 PM, on Saturdays from 5 PM and on Sundays and public holidays from 10 PM. The last return trip departs at 11:27 PM.

Line U1
»Candidplatz« station
From there, take bus No. 54 or X30 to »Schäftlarnstraße/Gasteig HP8«.

Bus No. 54: Buses will run every 10 minutes between Harras and Ostbahnhof until around 23:00 and will be condensed to every 5 minutes in the Harras to Giesing Bahnhof section during rush hour.

Bus No. X30: Harras - Brudermühlstraße – Candidplatz – Silberhornstraße – Ostfriedhof – Ostbahnhof – Arabellapark. The ExpressBus runs every 6 to 10 minutes from Monday to Friday until approx. 23:00, and every 10 minutes on Saturday and Sunday (then only in the Harras to Ostbahnhof section).

There are 200 parking spaces available at the whole sale flower market (Blumengroßmarkt, Schäftlarnstraße 2, access via Lagerhausstraße 5, open from two hours before the start of an event until 1:00 AM at night, price: € 10,– for the first 4 hours, after that € 3,50 per hour on top).

The disabled parking spaces are on the grounds of the Gasteig HP8 as well as at the Blumengroßmarkt.  The car park at Blumengroßmarkt is well served by free MVG shuttle buses for the disabled before and after the concert.

The Gasteig in Haidhausen

Thanks to its central location, you will get to the Gasteig hassle-free – no matter if you travelled a long distance by plane, train or car, or you are a local arriving by taxi or public transport. Parking spots and taxi stands, as well as subway and tram stations in the Gasteig’s immediate vicinity guarantee ideal connections. For example, the railway line S 8 gets you from the airport to the Gasteig in just over half an hour. From the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), any railway line only takes seven minutes to get to the Gasteig. Cycle racks are also available.

Please note: Due to construction work at the »Ludwigsbrücke« service of the tram line 17 is interrupted between »Max-Weber-Platz« and »Hauptbahnhof« until July 2022. Please use the S-Bahn service at »Rosenheimer Platz« and tram line 16 at »Isartor« instead.

If you arrive with your own car, our parking garage with 270 spaces is available to you. In the garage, 16 special parking spaces are designated for women and another 19 for people with disabilities. You can access the garage from Rosenheimer Strasse. The entrance height is 2.05 metres.


During the day:

  • 0–20 min.: € 0,–
  • up to 1 hr: € 2,50
  • up to 2 hrs: € 5,–
  • up to 3 hrs: € 8,–
  • up to 4 hrs: € 11,–
  • up to 5 hrs: € 14,–
  • up to 6 hrs: € 17,–
  • up to 7 hrs: € 20,–
  • up to 8 hrs: € 23,–
  • up to 9 hrs: € 26,–
  • from 9–24 hrs: € 28,–

During evening hours:

  • within the »cultural tariff« time (6 PM – 3 AM) a fixed rate of € 8,–
  • a single hour within the »cultural tariff« time is EUR 4,–

The loss of the parking ticket results in payment of EUR 28,–.

Motorcycles can be parked free of charge.

For Persons with disabilities

The parking garage includes 19 designated parking spaces for for people with Disability Passes Class »aG« or with the blue parking badge. The use of these parking spaces when attending events or using the facilities of the Gasteig is free of charge. Please present the relevant document at the reception desk in the Glashalle (Glass Hall) and you will be given a free exit ticket for the same day.

Opening hours

Entering the parking garage is possible from Sunday to Thursday from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM, Friday and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Exiting the garage is possible 24 hours a day. After midnight, it is necessary to leave the parking garage via the Kellerstrasse exit.


As an alternative, you can use the public parking garages of the nearby City Hilton hotel (corner of Rosenheimer Strasse and Steinstrasse), the Holiday Inn/Motorama (Hochstrasse) or the Hofbräukeller (Innere Wiener Strasse).
